Crystal of May

Zeolite

Zeolite is a really cool crystal that forms naturally: When hot lava meets seawater, this porous, sponge-like stone forms over thousands of years.

What makes it so special: Zeolite acts like a tiny magnet for pollutants. It can bind and eliminate toxins, heavy metals, and even unpleasant odors – whether in nature, in your body, or in the purification of water and air.

In short: Zeolite is a natural detox and freshness master, straight from the depths of the earth.

About zeolite
  • Smoky quartz actually gets its smoky color from "stress"—well, at least from a geological perspective. This happens when the quartz is exposed to natural radioactive radiation (usually from uranium or thorium in the environment).

The longer and more intensely the crystal is exposed to radiation, the darker it becomes. So you could say: smoky quartz is simply quartz that's been " sun-tanned " a bit—but in a radioactive way!
  • Labradorite shimmers like crazy because it has wafer-thin layers inside that bounce light back and forth like a mini disco. This whole thing is called "labradorescence" – a fancy word for the way the stone flickers in blue, green, or gold depending on the viewing angle. In short: Labradorite simply has a built-in party light!
  • Rose quartz is pink because tiny amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese are present in the crystal, giving it its romantic touch. Some say the stone looks as if it's permanently in a good mood—chemically speaking, it's just a bit of metal magic!
